Fort Lauderdale and South Florida features a wide variety of condominium communities, from ocean front high rises right "on the sand" to ultra-modern downtown lofts, from upscale luxury new construction projects to ocean access waterfront townhomes with deeded docks for private yachts. These condominiums offer water views of lakes and the Intracoastal, or the greens and fairways of rolling golf courses.
Though condo communities are spread throughout the city and Broward County, you can find concentrations of buildings in a number of interesting locations.
World Famous Fort Lauderdale Beach has undergone a sparkling facelift in recent years, now features a wide range of buildings, from the ultra-luxury of the Las Olas Beach Club and the Ritz-Carlton to exciting new projects like the Paramount and Gale Residences.
At the south end, nestled up against the inlet in Harbor Beach, you find the traditional elegance and sweeping panoramas of the Point of Americas, where you watch cruise ships sailing in and out of Port Everglades, and the contemporary grandeur of the Coconut Grove.
Just a few miles north you find The Galt Ocean Mile, with almost 20 high rise buildings right along the Atlantic Ocean, srrounded by a myriad of shops, stores and restaurants.
Downtown Fort Lauderdale underwent an incredible Renaissance through the 1990s. Luxury condo buildings sprang up, and it is now a favored locale for young urban professionals.
